Justin Leov Signs With Yeti/Fox Racing Factory Team

New Zealand's Top 10 World Cup rider Justin Leov will be racing for the new look Yeti/Fox Racing Factory Team in season 2006. Leov, who joined the 23 Degrees stable at the end of last season, signed with Yeti Cycles late in 2005, but the news on his signing had been deferred to allow the new team to announce its full line-up of riders and sponsors.
The 21 year old Kiwi is thrilled to be joining his first factory race team after having an excellent season in 2005 where he landed his first ever World Cup podium in Angel Fire, USA. Justin also had a steady run of top 10 World Cup results as well as winning his own National Series.
"I'm stoked to be onboard with the crew from the Yeti/Fox Racing Factory Team. They're serious about pushing the limits of bike design and are passionate about racing. Their equipment is excellent and I feel confident I can achieve my personal goals this season w ith the support and confidence Yeti and Fox are showing in me. I'm also really excited about riding the new Yeti 303DH at the Worlds this year, in front of a home crowd," said Justin today from Rotorua, New Zealand, where he is currently doing further training and testing on the 2006 World Championships course.
Yeti Cycles President and General Manager Chris Conroy is equally excited about Justin's new relationship with the team and company: "Anyone who can go out and be committed to racing the World Cup as a privateer and finish in the top 15 speaks volumes about his talent as a racer. Now with a full factory ride and the support he needs, he could be in the top 5."
Justin's multi year contract will see him race the full World Cup circuit as well as selected NORBA events and other races that fit the schedule. Justin's first major event with the team will be next month's Sea Otter Classic in California where he'll meet up with team-mates Jared Graves (AUS), Rich Houseman (USA), Ross Milan (USA) and TJ Sharp (USA).
